Playbox Nursery is an NDNA award‑winning nursery based in Folkestone, Kent. Since opening our doors in January 2010, we have been dedicated to providing exceptional early years education and care. We are proud to offer free places for children aged 2–5 years, available both All Year Round and Term Time Only, ensuring flexibility for families and the very best opportunities for children to thrive.

Our nursery has been purpose‑built with children’s needs at the heart of its design. Inside, you will find two spacious learning rooms, each carefully arranged to spark curiosity and encourage exploration. These rooms are filled with resources and activities that support discovery, creativity, and growth, helping children develop confidence and independence in a safe and nurturing environment.

Step outside and you’ll discover more than 2,000 square metres of secure outdoor space. Children can run, play, and learn in our astro turf and grass gardens, explore the forest area, or enjoy quiet moments in the outdoor reading retreat. Creative zones for painting and music allow imaginations to flourish, while the natural surroundings provide endless opportunities for adventure and learning. Inspired by the principles of HYGGE, our setting brings warmth, nurture, and comfort, creating a homely atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and cared for.

At Playbox Nursery, we believe that learning should be joyful, safe, and shared. Parents are an essential part of the journey, and we ensure they remain connected every step of the way. Through our secure online portal and the Blossom App, families receive regular updates, photos, and milestones, celebrating each child’s progress together.
