Nursery Life In Lockdown
It is no exaggeration to say that life as we knew it changed in March 2020 when the country was plunged into a national lockdown and Playbox Nursery, like so many other places, closed it’s doors without knowing when they could re-open again.
Whilst the children and their families initially stayed at home and used Babysdays to share with us their lockdown adventures, the Playbox Nursery staff we are busy as ever recording virtual song and story times, creating story stone trails and planning a safe return for the children.
And it wasn’t long before the children of our key worker parents were back in the nursery doing what they do best, learning and having fun! The children adapted to the new social distancing measures and stayed in bubbles to keep safe whilst taking part in a belated Easter egg hunt, VE day celebrations and celebrated international nurses day.
We said goodbye to our 2020 leavers in a different way to normal this year but were immensely proud of children and how well they coped throughout the lockdown period.
Now that all of the children have returned and the new term has started we are looking forward to seeing what this school year has to bring!
