Our Team

At Playbox Nursery we are passionate about caring for and educating children aged 2-5. We recognise that our staff are our most valuable asset in ensuring every child in our care is happy, healthy, confident and ready to learn.

All staff are qualified in child care and education to a Level 3 certificate or above and are committed to their own professional development, regularly attending training courses to ensure the education that the children receive is the very best it can be.

All staff hold an enhanced criminal records disclosure and are qualified in first aid.

Claire

Manager Early Years Practitioner (Level 3) Designated Lead For Safeguarding

Claire joined Playbox Nursery in February 2011 and has previous experience of working within nursery settings in a managerial capacity.

Claire is a qualified paediatric first aider.

Claire has full responsibility for the setting in the absence of the manager and is supported by admin staff and room staff.

Claire works closely with the children as a key person planning and implementing small group activities.

Stacey

Deputy Manager, Early Years Practitioner (Level 4)

Stacey joins Playbox in January 2013. Stacey is an experienced child care practitioner with experience of working in nursery, school and children centre settings. Stacey is the Blue Room Leader and works closely with the children as a key person, planning and implementing small group activities.
Stacey has a passion for outdoor learning and inspiring curiosity for learning.

Stacey is a qualified paediatric first aider.

Kenzie

Early Years Practitioner (Level 3)

Kenzie joined Playbox Nursery in September 2010 and completed her Level 3 qualification in 2011.

Kenzie is a qualified paediatric first aider.

Kenzie works closely with the children as a key person, planning and implementing small group activities.

Kate

Early Years Practitioner (Level 3)

Kate joined Playbox in February 2017 having previously worked in childcare settings.

Kate works closely with the children as a key person, planning and implementing small group activities.

Kate is a qualified paediatric first aider.

Carly

Early Years Practitioner (Level 4)

Carly is a qualified Early Years Practitioner who joined the Playbox Team in January 2022.

Carly is a qualified paediatric first aider.

Carly works closely with the families and children within the setting and is a qualified first aid practitioner.

Maria

Early Years Practitioner (Level 4) SENCO

Maria joined Playbox in September 2009 and has studied to achieve her Level 4 Certificate in Childcare and Education. Maria has particular interest in Special Educational Needs and has vast experience of Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Maria has studied many short courses and has knowledge of Makaton Sign Language.

Maria works closely with the children as a key person, planning and implementing small group activities and teaching the children Spanish.

Maria is a qualified paediatric first aider.

Vickie

Early Years Practitioner (Level 3)

Vickie joined our team in November 2021 and has several years experience working with children in the early years. Vickie is an Ofsted registered childminder and has joined our team three days a week.
Vickie will work as a key person and provides rich learning experiences for the children in her care.

Vickie is a qualified paediatric first aider.

Annick

Early Years Practitioner (Level 3)

Annick joined Playbox on a volunteer basis whilst studying for her Level 2 certificate in childcare. During this time Annick gained valuable experience in early years care and then continued to study her Level 3 certificate. On completion of her Level 3 Annick joined as a full member of staff in May 2012.

Annick works closely with the children as a key person planning and implementing small group activities and teaching the children French.

Annick is a qualified paediatric first aider.
